Sir Walter Scott: The Modern Novel. In the early decades of the nineteenth century the two most prominent figures in English literature were Sir Walter Scott and Lord Byron. They are still read and admired, especially Scott; but it is not easy to understand . The series was published from c. until at least by J. M. The great majority take pleasure in reading or hearing any simple verses provided they tell something and have life and : James Baldwin. The sound is mellower, less harsh, but it's also less clear and the instruments are receded. "Man's World" is an excellent remaster, so is "Prisoner of Love," but overall, I prefer the old harsh but clear/5(11).
